Despite its auburn complexion, Hojicha is indeed a member of the green tea family. Its unique hue is achieved by slowly and expertly dry-roasting fresh tea leaves. This process coaxes out new flavors and aromas like vanilla and barley and has the added benefit of greatly decreasing caffeine levels.
What to expect from Hojicha: A hazel tea that yields a dark amber cup offering nutty aromas and a slightly sweet taste with almost no bitterness and minimal caffeine
